Nereus:  "Old Man of the Sea"
Nereus, the namesake of our vessel, is a primordial sea god from Greek mythology—renowned for his wisdom, prophetic insight, and ability to change form. Unlike the tempestuous Poseidon, Nereus was known for his kindness and fairness, embodying the calm and benevolent side of the sea. Our Nereus is a 2005 47' Selene trawler, currently homeported in the beautiful waters of the Pacific Northwest.
